Solid copper is easy to live with. It darkens over time, which is the natural patina, and you can keep it or polish it away.
Everyday wear
- Water will not harm copper, but dry your piece afterwards.
- Take it off before using harsh cleaning products or going in chlorinated water.
- A faint green mark on skin is a normal reaction and washes off.
Cleaning
- Rub gently with a soft cloth.
- For more shine, use a little lemon juice and salt, or a copper polish.
- Rinse well and dry straight away.
Storage
Keep each piece dry and apart from other jewellery, in a pouch or box. Less air means slower darkening.
